Board Member Responsibilities :

Advance Urban Agriculture

Lead the expansion of sustainable farming practices, fresh food access, and community wellness throughout Stockton.

Increase Food Access

Strategize ways to dismantle food deserts and ensure every resident has access to fresh, organic produce regardless of income.

Community Wellness

Foster holistic health by connecting community members to the land and providing education on nutrition and gardening.

Board Member Responsibilities

GOVERNANCE & MEETINGS

Attend monthly board meetings (2 hours) and actively participate in organizational oversight and strategic planning.

COMMITTEE LEADERSHIP

Serve on at least one specialized committee (Development, Finance, Programs, or Governance) meeting quarterly.

FUNDRAISING & SUPPORT

Support annual fundraising efforts and leverage professional networks to secure resources for BUFA’s growth.
