Programs That Cultivate Health, Knowledge & Community

At Black Urban Farmers Association, every program is rooted in one powerful belief — access to fresh food, agricultural education, and community wellness should be available to everyone.

Through hands-on farming experiences, produce distribution initiatives, and educational outreach, we are building healthier neighborhoods while reconnecting families to the land, to nourishment, and to one another.

Programs and Initiatives

Our programs are designed to create lasting impact — serving youth, seniors, volunteers, families, and community partners through sustainable solutions that fight food insecurity and inspire generational change.

Community Farm Engagement

Our Community Farm Engagement Program invites businesses and organizations to engage in meaningful community service by supporting urban farming initiatives, fresh produce distribution, and educational workshops. Join us for hands-on volunteer opportunities that strengthen community ties while promoting sustainable practices.

Senior Produce

The Senior Produce Program provides affordable, fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables to seniors in underserved communities. Through this program, we aim to increase access to healthy foods by both offering nutrition workshops tailored to senior wellness, and by donating home garden kits that empower seniors to grow their own fruits and vegetables at home.

Youth Education

Our Youth Program focuses on educating the next generation about sustainable farming, healthy eating, and environmental stewardship. Through farm visits, interactive workshops, and hands-on learning experiences, we aim to inspire youth to make healthier choices and understand the value of community agriculture.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Through hands-on farming experiences, produce distribution initiatives, and educational outreach, we are building healthier neighborhoods while reconnecting families to the land, to nourishment, and to one another.
