Biography

Reatha Hardy-Jordan serves as President of the Black Urban Farmers Association, known as BUFA, since its inception, has always held a strong belief in the positive impact BUFA could bring to the Stockton community, particularly the African American community.

For the past 17 years, she has maintained a plant-based diet. Her journey into fruit and vegetable farming began a decade ago at Boggs Tract Community Farm in Stockton, which was founded by Puentes. Reatha served as the garden coordinator at this farm for several years.

Originally hailing from San Jose, California, she has called Stockton her home for the past 22 years and has developed a deep affection for the city. She eagerly anticipates the opportunity to collaborate with the community to support Stockton’s growth.
